WHAT IS THE “IL MARE DELLE ALPI” COASTAL ACTION GROUP (GAC)
In April 2012, the Imperia Chamber of Commerce was nominated project leader to the Il Mare delle Alpi GAC In July of the same year, the functions set out in Article 7 of the Partnership Agreement (roles of the project leader) were delegated to Azienda Speciale PromImperia.
The Il Mare Delle Alpi GAC was set up on 20th April 2012 in Imperia by means of a partnership agreement which founded an unincorporated association (equivalent to a local authority in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree no. 163/2006), with headquarters in Via T. Schiva 29, Imperia.
The foundations and initial contacts for implementing the activities set out by the Local Development Plan (LDP) which was approved by the Liguria Region on 24th December 2012 were drawn up in 2012. It was not possible for the organisation to initiate its principal activities in this phase and work was limited to bringing the objectives set out by the C.A.G. to fruition.
As the operational arm of the GAC, the LDP provides for a total investment of €634,380 with a public contribution of €574,800 in the project.
